Cookies Policy
What are cookies?
We and our service providers use cookies and similar tracking technologies (hereinafter referred to as 'cookies') to track the activity on our service and store certain information. Tracking technologies used are beacons, tags, and scripts to collect and track information and to improve and analyse our service.
The use of cookies is safe. For example, cookies do not store e-mail addresses or telephone numbers.
The technologies we use may include:
- Cookies. A cookie is a small file placed on your device. You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, if you do not accept cookies, you may not be able to use some parts of our service. Unless you have adjusted your browser setting so that it will refuse cookies, our service may use cookies. Cookies can be persistent or session cookies. Persistent cookies remain on your personal computer or mobile device when you go offline, while session cookies are deleted as soon as you close your web browser. Some cookies are essential (such as keeping track of your authenticated session or cart) and some cookies are there to improve your experience. We may also use cookies to test new pages, features or new functionality of the website to see how our users react to them.
- Web beacons. Certain sections of our service and our emails may contain small electronic files known as web beacons (also referred to as clear gifs, pixel tags, and single-pixel gifs) that permit us, for example, to count users who have visited those pages or opened an email and for other related website statistics (for example, recording the popularity of a certain section and verifying system and server integrity).
This page describes what information they gather, how we use it and why we sometimes need to store these cookies. We will also share how you can prevent these cookies from being stored, however, this may downgrade or 'break' certain elements of the website.
Because of the way in which the internet and websites work, it may be that we do not always have insight into the cookies that third parties place via our website.
You can delete cookies via the settings of your browser.
Who sets cookies?
There are two types of cookies:
- First-party cookies: these cookies are placed and read by Commen across our website.
- Third-party cookies: these cookies are set by other companies that provide services to Commen as data processor, such as Shopify, Klaviyo, or Google Analytics.
How does Commen use cookies?
We use both session and persistent cookies for the purposes set out below.
Necessary cookies

- Login-related cookies. We use cookies when you are logged in so that we can remember this fact. This prevents you from having to log in every single time you visit a new page. These cookies are typically removed or cleared when you log out to ensure that you can only access restricted features and areas when logged in.
- Order-processing-related cookies. We offer e-commerce and payment facilities and some cookies are essential to ensure that your cart and/or order is remembered between pages so that we can process it properly.
- Notice-acceptance cookies. These cookies identify the cookie preferences you have selected on our site, helping us read and comply with your preferences.
- From time to time we use cookies to test ('A/B tests') new features and make subtle changes to the way that the site is delivered. When we are still testing new features these cookies may be used to ensure that you receive a consistent experience whilst on the site whilst ensuring we understand which optimisations our users appreciate the most.
Functional cookies
- Form-related cookies. When you submit data through a form such as those found on contact pages forms cookies may be set to remember your user details for future correspondence.
- Temporary data-storage cookies. These cookies help passing information from one page to the next page, so that you do not always have to enter the same information.
- Site preferences cookies. In order to provide you with a great experience on this site we provide the functionality to set your preferences for how this site runs when you use it. In order to remember your preferences we need to set cookies so that this information can be called whenever you interact with a page that is affected by your preferences.

These cookies may track things such as how long you spend on the site or pages you visit which helps us to understand how we can improve the site for you.
- As we sell products it is important for us to understand statistics about how many of the visitors to our site actually make a purchase and as such this is the kind of data that these cookies will track. This is important to you as it means that we can accurately make business predictions that allow us to monitor our advertising and product costs to ensure the best possible price.
Marketing cookies

The intention is to display ads that are relevant and engaging for the individual user and thereby more valuable for publishers and third party advertisers.
